R. Scott Hardman is the founder, co-owner and president of RS Hardman Building. Born and educated in Utah, Scott has a broad background in the construction industry. His education focused on all aspects of building along with extensive studies in the architectural field. Scott began his construction career by working in his family’s businesses. He started in the cabinet and mill shops and then moved into framing and finish carpentry. In 1982, he became a supervisor for Research Homes and eventually became a co-owner of the company. In 1997, as Scott transitioned to exclusive building of high-end, custom homes in and around the Park City area, RS Hardman Building Company was born. Through the years, Scott’s philosophy of the building business has always remained the same—it’s simple: “Treat each project as if it were your own.”
Sherry J. Hardman is co-owner, vice president and office manager for RS Hardman Building. Born and educated in Utah, Sherry is a native to Park City. As a fourth generation Parkite, she loves the Park City area. She carries the majority of the office workload for the company. In addition to her office duties, Sherry helps manage many crucial facets of each project. With their continued, dedicated attention to detail and customer relations, Scott and Sherry lead the company with a hands-on, expect-the-best philosophy.
The RS Hardman Building team also consists of Kevin and Jake Todd, on-site project managers. Kevin and Jake Todd have been working with RS Hardman Building for over 20 years, with an unrivaled skill set in the construction industry including framing, finish carpentry, and intricate woodworking. In recent years, this father-son team has become a significant asset to RS Hardman Building’s on-site project management throughout all stages of home construction.
